One of my favorite decorating task is arranging the clients existing furnishings in new and interesting ways. This is called Interior Redesign. In a day or less, my partner and I transform the look and feel of our clients' rooms, rearranging furniture, re-hanging art, and re-positioning of supplies. It's amazing what an objective eye and a flair for design can do.
We have recently completed a redesign of the interior for a client lounge. When we arrived, all her furniture was lined up against the wall, and she did not like her fireplace at all. fireplace mantel-to-ceiling mirror that she did not like it, and it is in the corner, it is our challenge to arrange the furniture around it. She lives collectibles and family photos in the living room, all of which were specifically for her. Our challenge was to improve the look of a fireplace, view of her wealth more effectively, and give her a new furniture arrangement that will be comfortable for your family and friends.
We started cleaning the room. Then we evaluated the shape and architecture of room to determine furniture placement. Often this is the place couch opposite the architectural focal point, the fireplace in this case. We tried fishing in an armchair before the fireplace, but this time it failed. large sofa blocked the flow through the room. After trying a few more seats to fold, it became clear that the fireplace and the couch is not going to work together. Because the rooms are large and rectangular, we decided to create two separate areas-one sitting in front of the fireplace, and includes a sofa a few feet away. Then in the room really started coming together.
We placed two matching wing back chairs facing each other in front of the fireplace. Among them is a small round table, set with the client beautiful antique tea set. In my heart there is a large floral arrangement borrowed from the dining room, which was repeated in a tea color and throw pillows. To camouflage a large mirror above the mantel, we used a gorgeous floral images found in the bedroom. Propped on the mantel, to reduce the mirror, and also supported our color scheme. Pair of candlesticks finished look. What a wonderful place for a cup of tea.
couch became an anchor for the second seating. We angled to mimic the angle of the fireplace, and put a antique chair beside him. From the sofa, there is now a clear view of the piano and fireplace. Then we arranged all of her lovely accessories. We created vignettes on the boards and piano using her precious family photos and collectibles. We grouped her figurines together in a curio cabinet to give them importance. The best part of the day is seeing our customers' feedback. She was thrilled with her new room.
